About the event

Queer people find their people in all kinds of ways — bars, apps, college clubs — but for LGBTQ young adults, especially in Boston, the options are limited. And the stakes are high.

Every 45 seconds, an LGBTQ young person attempts to take their own life. But research shows that having just one supportive community can cut that risk in half.

That’s why I, Ethan Ide, started the Boston Queer Club — a new kind of social space for queer college students to feel seen, safe, and connected.

On May 11th, I’m inviting you into my home in Los Angeles to share the story of the BQC — where we’ve been, where we’re going, and how you can help us get there.

There’ll be food, music, a pink nail painting station (yes, really), and a room full of people I love. But it’s also the kickoff of our first-ever fundraising…
