SUPPORT THE BOSTON QUEER CLUB
BECAUSE COMMUNITY SAVES LIVES

- Ethan Ide / BQC Founder & President

About The $50,000 Campaign

Queer people are dying. Every 45 seconds, a queer young person attempts to take their life. 41% of the community seriously considers suicide every year. Suicide is the 3rd leading cause of death for queer 18-24 year olds right now. We're raising $50,000 to save them.

The Boston Queer Club provides the research-backed solution: community. Research shows that suicide rates cut in half when an individual has a strong community of people around them. Our community events are a lifeline for queer people in Boston. These funds cover the startup costs and launch of our biggest, boldest season of events yet. This isn't tied to one show—it's about building the foundation of something radical and long-lasting. Your donation goes toward venue costs, marketing, performer stipends, community outreach, and most importantly, the infrastructure we need to keep building queer joy in Boston.

This $50,000 campaign is about giving BQC the runway it needs to grow to the next level. You’re not funding one night—you’re investing in a movement. And every donor becomes part of our founding story.

YOU CHOOSE WHERE YOU MONEY GOES

Your money isn’t just a donation—it’s power. At BQC, you decide exactly where that power goes. Want to fuel the next concert? Back the comedians from you alma mater? Or make sure queer students across Boston walk into a room that feels like home? You get to choose. Every dollar is a statement, and every statement shapes the future of queer community.
